Foothills Parkway

Most agreed that the Foothills Parkway drive from last year was the most beautiful and scenic of them all. We’re running it back, with a stop at Apple Valley Mountain Village & Cafe in Townsend, TN.

Road to Nowhere Drive

The Road to Nowhere in Bryson City has an interesting history. Drive up to the end, take in the views, and enjoy lunch in BC.

"Fresh hot brisket on the board!" - 9am

We’ll be departing Fontana at 9am for a trip to Buc-ee’s! If you haven’t heard of it before, imagine if someone stuffed a WalMart super store into a gas station. We estimate this trip will take about five hours total.

Trip to Gatlinburg Skypark! - 9am

Gatlinburg’s oldest attraction is calling to us and we’re answering. Skypark is home to the SkyLift, SkyBridge, SkyTrail, and SkyDeck, all promising breathtaking views of the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Afraid of heights? Gatlinburg has plenty to offer folks who would rather stay on the ground. If you just wanna go enjoy the town and leave the sky shenanigans to others, feel free to join us, but please don’t add this item to your cart (unless you like being charged money for no reason. 😋).

Manual Lessons! - 4pm - 6pm

Do you want to learn how to drive a car with a manual transmission, or brush up on long lost skills, or even just get an idea of why people like manual transmissions so much? If so, we’ll be happy to teach you Tuesday. Come learn to drive a manual transmission on either a Toyota GR86 or a Honda S2000. No need to give up any other activities to take part in this, as you’ll be back from the day’s drives first.

Drive-In Movie - 8:30pm

That’s right! We’re setting up our own private drive-in movie right at Fontana Village. Bring your car up on the baseball field where we’ll be screening a fun movie and serving free popcorn! Popcorn and snacks brought to you by The Carb Gays.

dragon day!

This day we dedicate to all things Tail of the Dragon! The idea is to get out on the Tail and really appreciate the road that brought us here. Run it alone, run it as a group, stop by the local stores and eateries, and just enjoy a nearly traffic-free day of one of the most famous roads in America.
