patd 4 recap

The End of Chapter IV…

Boy, we had a time at this one! As with every year, the time leading up to, during, and after PatD hosts a whirlwind of emotions–not all of which can be put into words. But if I had to distill it down to share with all of you it would be gratitude. I’d like to show that now, before I say anything else.

Thank you to every guest, everyone who spread word about the event, my personal friends who have encouraged me to keep going–even from afar, the staff at Fontana Village, and all the local businesses that appreciate our patronage and treat us like any other visitors in the area. Thank you to our partners who help make the event more than just the sum of its parts: The Chrises Landry and Balaska of Gears & Queers; Jake Thiewes, Jimmy Wilkins, and Tyler Longmire of Out Motorsports; JT Hulan and the local Lambda Car Club chapter members who took part of the Weiner roast; Mazda USA for providing a wonderful gaggle of support vehicles; and Lucid Motors for giving test drives in one of the coolest new cars on the market today. Our photographers, Nick Temmel, CJ Bain, and Sasha Herzog. Sam Caplan for capturing the group photo. Our videographer, Christopher Thelisma. And last, but certainly not least… thank you to the Gaymmittee for pulling out another brilliant PatD. Jason “Xiek” Hurdle, Malikah Simons, Kyle Blackmar, Mason Goodman, Meg Ih, & Kara Zajac: I couldn’t ever do this without you. Thank you for putting your trust in me, putting your knowledge at my disposal, and your effort behind my vision.

Please check out the links below for an archive of the event’s web pages. And don’t forget to check the latest PatD, V.
